I found this video the other day while researching a college in Seattle. I actually found their Instagram page first. They have a collaboration of photos from their hikes. They look like some pretty cool people and the video makes Washington look like an amazing place.

Sigur Ros

This summer my sister and I took a road trip to see Sigur Ros in concert. Though the trip was far and the wait was long, it was well worth it.

While their music is sung in a different language, and therefore is incomprehensible, Sigur Ros have an extraordinary ability to create hauntingly eloquent and distinctively inspiring music.

The concert magnified the band’s provoking ability to convey and stimulate sensation. The prolonged notes seemed to crawl under my skin and the heavy based notes  made heart begin to palpitate. As the songs slowly rose to overwhelming climaxes, shivers began to electrify my body and left me feeling exhausted and weak.

The concert was brilliant. I don’t believe I’ll ever see anything quite like it again in my lifetime.
